An Annual Report Over the Years

The Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County (CAC) continuously strives to reduce trauma and provide support to child victims of violence and their families. The Center serves as a community resource to facilitate the identification, intervention and prevention of child abuse.

CAC has partnered with Bending Design since 2007 to create their annual report. This important piece, which tremendously helps in fundraising, has been a welcome challenge for us year after year. The various themes we've worked with them to develop include: coming out of the dark, steps to heal, mending broken hearts, positive outcomes, and justice and healing. “The challenge in producing a successful annual report for The Children’s Advocacy Center is to convey the emotional side of healing from child abuse. Our therapists counsel these young children recognizing each survivor’s story and response to the abuse is different and requires an individualized treatment program.

Since we cannot include pictures of our children, we portray the emotional side with words and graphics. Bending Design is highly competent in accomplishing this with their keen graphic eye to selecting colors, style, and editorial content in a succinct way.”
